Qatar's first match in the 19th Asian Games Hangzhou 2022 Men's Football against Japan was held on 20 September 2023 at the Xiaoshan Sports Centre Stadium in Hangzhou, China.
The match started with Japan's Teppei Yachida scoring an early goal in the 2nd minute of the match. Teammate Kotaro Uchino follows in the 25th minute with another goal, bringing the score to 0-2 by halftime in favor of Japan.
By the second half of the match, Qatar's Abdulla Al Sulaiti scored the team's first goal of the match in the 79th minute, taking the score to 1-2.
In the 88th minute, Japan's Taichi Yamasaki scored another goal for the team, taking their lead further and securing the win with a full-time score of 1-3.
