Qatari world champion Mutaz Barshim won the high jump gold medal, making history once again by achieving an Asian Games Record of 2.35.

Qatar's men's 4 x 400m relay team, consisting of athletes Abdulrahman Samba, Bassem Hemeida, Isamel Dawood, and Ashraf Othman, finished second place and claimed the silver medal with a season-best time of 3:02.05.
