Organisers of the Dolphin Energy Doha Dash, Professional Sports Group, have today announced a number of top Doha businesses as official sponsors of the 2014 event. In addition to title sponsor, Dolphin Energy, whose participation will see 500 employees and their families take part, DHL Express joins the event as official Logistics Partner as part of its commitment to Qatar National Sport Day. With a presence in Qatar since 1979 DHL Express has quickly become the market leader in the industry with over 190 employees in the country, many of which will take part in the run on February 11th at Losail International Circuit. Speaking on the partnership Nael Attiyat, Country Manager, DHL Express Qatar, said: “Qatar’s National Sport Day is a great initiative to promote good health and the importance of staying active. “We are avid believers in the importance of balancing your life between work, play and staying active and that healthy minds that deliver success are in healthy bodies that provides you with the strength necessary for the challenges ahead. “The event was a big hit with locals and expats alike last year and we are all looking forward to another good run this year.” Following the success of the first Dolphin Energy Doha Dash in 2013, which saw 1,360 Qatar residents participate, Doha Stadium Plus, Qatar’s first English sports weekly newspaper, has signed up as an official media partner for the 2014 event. Returning for a second year as Platinum Partner, Vodafone Qatar is sponsoring the 1KM Mini Doha Dash and funding the participation of 300 members of its staff. Vodafone will be helping its employees get into shape in the run up to the event with regular training tips and rewarding the fastest employee on the day with a special prize.
