Hassan al haydos retires qatar national football team

Qatar Football Association announced on 16 March 2024 that Hassan Al Haydos has retired from Qatar's national football team.


In their statement, Qatar Football Association expressed gratitude for his contributions as the national team's captain. They also stated that he was a very loyal leader for Al Annabi and was known for his generosity and morals.

Hassan Al Haydos joined the national team in 2008 and has played for 16 years, a career which has witnessed many achievements.

Qatar national football team witnessed victory within his joining year in 2008, where he also won the Most Promising Player award from the Qatar Football Association. He also won the award for the Best Player in 2015.

Al Haydos played a total of 183 international matches where he has scored a total of 41 goals. He has participated in the AFC Asian Cup finals 4 times, which was played in Qatar in 2011, in Australia in 2015, in UAE in 2019 & 2023 in Qatar.

His achievements included the winning of the 2014 Gulf Cup and the 2019 & 2023 win of the AFC Asian Cup.
