Football used world cup 2022 final match expected auctioned almost qatar riyal 1 million

Graham Budd Auctions announced on 28 April 2023 that football used for the World Cup 2022 final match will be auctioned in June 2023 at approximately £160,000-200,000 (almost QR 1 million).

The ball holds significant history as the ball which gave Argentina a glorious victory at the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ finals in Qatar and made them the third-time champion.

Graham Budd Auctions is one of the UK's most prominent auctioneers of sports memorabilia.

An international football fan who had won the ball in the 'Win The Match Ball' competition by Adidas chose to sell the ball at the sports memorabilia auction, which Graham Budd Auctions will conduct on 6 & 7 June 2023.

The auction will be conducted online and physically at the Northampton auction house in the United Kingdom.

Along with the Qatar 2022 final match ball, the auction will also feature trophies, awards and match-worn shirts. The auction will have a segment dedicated to Football legend Pelé, featuring a yellow Brazil shirt worn by him when he scored the last-ever international goal for Brazil in 1971.

Head of sporting memorabilia at Graham Budd Auctions, David Convery, expressed the following regarding the World Cup 2022 final match ball:

“Importantly, from a collector’s perspective, it's got the best possible paper trail. The ball is fully authenticated, and we can trace every part of its journey to date. That’s one of the reasons why we feel confident it’ll reach, or even go beyond, its estimated price.”
