Talal Al Kuwari, winner of 2014 ‘Strongest Man’ competition said: “Last year’s event was exceptionally well organised and very competitive. I’m expecting it to be just as good this year. Those of us that are taking part are much better prepared this year, and the competition is likely to be even tougher as a result.”
Another participant, Fahad Al-Haddad, commented: “I’m enormously excited at the prospect of taking part in this competition. It has proven to be very effective at encouraging young Qataris to participate in physical activities and take an interest in health and fitness more generally. This is the second time I have participated in Qatar’s Strongest Man, and I hope that the competition continues to grow and attract greater numbers of participants in future years. I wish the very best of luck to all those taking part.”
The competition has been designed as the ultimate test of strength and endurance during which participants will compete face-to-face in a number of challenges. These include truck pulling, deadlifting, lifting sand bags, flipping giant tyres, heavy weight lifting (180KG) and car lifting.
