The second Dolphin Energy Doha Dash raised a total of QR100,000 for the Shafallah Centre for Children with Special Needs.
The event took place on February 11 in celebration of Qatar National Sport Day. It pledged 25% of the registration fee to the Center and attracted more than 2,300 runners. Dolphin Energy itself made a donation of QR50,000.
General Manager Dolphin Energy, Adel Ahmed Albuainain, said: “We are delighted with the response and I would like to express my thanks and gratitude to the runners for their contributions and to others who also donated funds.
“The Dolphin Energy Doha Dash is a great event because it not only supports the vision behind Qatar National Sport Day but allows us to support worthy causes in this way. We are always keen to strengthen the link between sport and the local community and look forward to making more contributions of this nature in the future.”
The third Dolphin Energy Doha Dash will take place at Lusail International Circuit on February 10, 2015.
