Brazilian football player Ricardinho das Embaixadinhas broke a new world record for 49 continuous hours playing freestyle football in Katara Cultural Village.

Ricardinho's world record attempt was part of Katara's accompanying events in celebration of the AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2023. He started his attempt on 21 January 2024 at 7 pm. He broke the world record at 49 hours and 3 minutes of continous freestyle football on 23 January 2024.

An open space was provided for him at the Al Hikma Courtyard with a screen counting the hours of his journey where spectators came to watch the action live.

He broke his own previous record set, in the same location in Katara Cultural Village during the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, which was 48 hours and 2 minutes.
