Qatar Football Association announced on 28 February 2024 that Sheikh Khalifa bin Hassan Al Thani, President of Al Wakrah Club, has been suspended for a duration of 6 months, effective 28 February 2024 until 27 August 2024, banned from entering stadiums and is to pay a fine of QR 100,000 due media statements, violation of principles and general sports conduct at the match that took place between Al Wakrah Club and Al Sadd Club on 25 February 2024.

Displicinary actions have also been taken against other players. Al Arabi Club player Aladdin Muhammad Hassan has been suspended as technical suspension for two matches, and a fine of QR 10,000 has been imposed due to violent play towards the opponent at the match between Al Arabi Club and Al Duhail Club, which was played on 25 February 2024.

The goalkeeper coach of Al Arabi Club, Mr Masoud Mohammed Zarai has also been suspended for two matches as disciplinary suspension, and a fine of QR 5,000 has been imposed due to unsportsmanlike behaviour and contesting against the referee’s decision at the match between Al Arabi Club and Al Duhail Club on 25 February 2024.

A fine of QR 10,000 has been imposed on Al Sadd Club as Al Sadd Club players failed to leave the mixed zone in Al Sadd Club’s match against Al Wakrah Club on 25 February 2024.

Al Rayyan Club player Abdul Rahman Muhammad Al-Harazi has also been suspended for two matches as a disciplinary suspension with a fine of QR 5,000 after the match between Al Rayyan Club and Al Markhiya Club on 27 February 2024.
