The Ministry of Public Health announced on 11 October 2022 that Qatar's public health services have received the Public Health Accreditation Board (PHAB) award.
The award accredits Qatar's outstanding health services, also making it the first country in the world outside the US to get this award.
The certificate was received by Her Excellency Dr. Hanan Mohammed Al-Kuwari, Minister of Public Health along with other officials from the Ministry of Public Health, Primary Health Care Corporation, Hamad Medical Corporation and Qatar University.
As per the ministry, it is the international high-quality standards and strict criteria met by the public health practices in Qatar that brought about this recognition.
