From tomorrow (Friday) a temporary closure will be in place on the signal-controlled intersection of Wadi Al Salamiya Street with Al Kharaitiyat Street, west of Al Kharaitiyat Interchange (N8) on the Al Shamal Road.
It is expected to remain closed for a year.
During the period, traffic will be diverted to a temporary two-lane roundabout that was constructed at the closure location (as shown in the attached map).
The speed limit will be reduced to 30 kph throughout the diversion route to reduce risks to the road users and the work force of the project.
This closure is required to carry out the construction of a bridge which forms part of the North Road enhancement project.
