W DOHA HOTEL & RESIDENCES CELEBRATES THIRD ANNIVERSARY AS QATAR’S TRENDSETTER

THE happening place in the Qatari capital, the W Doha offers a venue where residents can mix and mingle, enjoy inspired dining and catch up on the latest trends while visitors are ensured of an innovative take on Arabian hospitality, wrapped up in the latest design and facilities DOHA, March 2012 – Three years on from its debut in March 2009 as the Gulf’s first lifestyle hotel, the W Doha has succeeded in transforming the hospitality landscape with a dynamic approach to design, cuisine, the spa culture and its unique calendar of fashion and music happenings. Combining elements of Arabesque with ornate detail and opulent space, the hotel is a contemporary urban retreat that has won acclaim for its vibrant Bliss® Spa, fusion dining and cultural and commercial partnerships with organisations as diverse as Qatar Airways, the Doha Tribeca Film Festival, London’s Old Vic Theatre and the Virginia Commonwealth University to name a few. The 441-room hotel and residence has introduced a fun element to hospitality through the reinvention of the lobby as the Living Room, transforming health and leisure with the WET Deck, launching the first and only Bliss® Spa in the region with its energising wraps, rubs and scrubs, introducing celebrity star cooking to Doha with Michelin chef, Jean-Georges Vongerichten who has brought contemporary food trends to the table, and finally being the destination of choice to many of the worlds icons such as Kevin Spacy and Kate Moss.
