Vodafone yesterday launched an SMS-based competition, the World of Prizes, giving its customers the chance to win daily prizes.
By answering via SMS questions from a preferred category (sports, history, general knowledge), customers will receive points that automatically enter them in a daily draw for an iPhone 5 or Samsung Galaxy S4.
At the end of each week, the customer with the highest number of accumulated points gains will enable them to win a Toyota Fortuner. At the end of the competition on August 31, all participating customers who have any number of points are automatically entered into the grand prize draw for the chance to win QR100,000.
“We’re very excited to launch this competition that’s fun to take part in and gives customers the opportunity to win daily valuable prizes. What’s more, customers can choose content in the language of their choice making it easier for them to participate in the competition,” said Cindy Moussa, Director of Marketing, Vodafone Qatar.
Customers can opt for free for the contest by texting the word “WORLD” to short code number 97773. The price per SMS will be QR4 and charging will start from questions category selection. The competition is available in six languages- Arabic, English, Malayalam, Urdu, Hindi and Nepalese.
