Vodafone hosts CSR meeting

Vodafone Qatar has hosted the quarterly gathering of the corporate social responsibility (CSR) community, the “Vodafone Qatar CSR Majlis”. Hosted under the telecommunications company’s CSR programme, “Better World”, the event was held for the fourth time. The meeting was attended by representatives from different sectors and industries actively engaged in the CSR programmes in Qatar. Qatar Shell, Carnegie Mellon University, Mercy Corps, ictQatar, Qatar Volunteers Network, Bedaya Centre, Impact CSR Solutions, Georgetown University, Qatar Foundation, Qatar Foundation for Combating Human Trafficking, the Ministry of Business & Trade, QDVC, Ernst & Young, UCL Qatar, and ABA Group were represented. The “Vodafone Qatar CSR Majlis” is an informal network of Qatar based companies and organisations which are interested in CSR, corporate governance, sustainability and social enterprise. It serves as a platform for networking, sharing and partnering with the goal of strengthening and increasing CSR awareness and practice in Qatar.
