His Excellency President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan, arrived Wednesday afternoon in Doha on a working visit to the country.

Upon his arrival at Hamad International Airport, His Excellency and the accompanying delegation were met by H.E. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defense Affairs Dr. Khalid bin Mohammed Al Attiyah, and H.E. Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey Mehmet Mustafa Goksu.

His Highness the Amir and the President of Turkey discuss strategic ties and regional and international developments

H.H. the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani discussed Wednesday with H.E. President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan bilateral strategic relations and the means to enhance them in all fields.

H.H. the Amir and H.E. the Turkish President exchanged views on the latest regional and international developments as well as issues of joint interest, in the meeting that took place at Al Bahr Palace today.

Afterwards, H.H. the Amir held a luncheon banquet in honour of H.E. the Turkish President and the accompanying delegation. The meeting and the luncheon banquet were attended by a number of Their Excellencies the ministers.
