Family Fun Fair at Lagoona Mall

Lagoona Mall, Doha’s premium shopping and lifestyle destination launched its Family Fun Day at the Piazza running on every weekend from March 9 to 31 where exciting and entertaining activations await the whole family.

The Piazza at Lagoona Mall transformed into a gigantic fairground-themed play area with loads of adventurous games that will engage the whole family with fun. Visitors can enjoy amazing encounters at the packed obstacle courses, plenty of inflatable bouncy castles, VR, Gran Turismo PS4 setup and much more. Kids will also have the opportunity to enjoy face painting and crafting activities.

Promoting outdoor family activities, the Family Fun Fair has something to enjoy for all ages, from games to entertainment and shopping to dining. The event will take place every Friday and Saturday until the 31st of March 2018 from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Qatar International Food Festival 2018

As the country's only international food festival, QIFF 2018 brings culinary and cultural experiences from all corners of the globe to Qatar's residents and visitors. Festival favourites are back this year such as the signature Live Cooking Theater with participation from internationally renowned chefs such as US MasterChef Christine Ha, Qatar's very own Aisha AlTamimi, Kuwaiti cook Fawaz AlOmaim, Indian celebrity chef Ajay Chopra, Lebanese celebrity chef Ramzi Choueiri, and the Michellin Star chef who has been preparing the post-Oscars feast for 24 years, Wolfgang Puck.

Also back this year, is the Health Zone which encourages conscious eating habits and life choices that promote overall well-being. Festival-goers can enjoy free fitness classes to get their blood pumping while enjoying the outdoor festivities at Hotel Park.

This year, QIFF is also shedding a spotlight on locally-owned coffee shops which have become contemporary symbols of cultural and social exchange. The dedicated Coffee Zone provides coffee lovers a chance to immerse themselves in the bean's rich aromas and flavours.

March 18 – 24, 2018

The 34th Traffic Week

The 34th traffic week started on March 18 and will continue until March 24 at Darb al Saai, entitled “Your life is a trust”.

The celebrations this year is considered different thanks to the interactive, educational, awareness activities and service programs offered which will be in Dar Al Saai for the first time.

The activities are open for the public from the morning 8.00 a.m. till 9.00 p.m. in two shifts. More than 60 entities have joined the celebration this year. There are activities in different parts of the country other than Doha under the traffic departments in Shamal, South and Dukhan.

The associated activities include events at Souq Waqif, Traffic Fort and special areas for productive families. The main venue in Darb al Saai include activities for children and some youth initiatives through youth hostel centers and Qatar University.

Special counters have been placed for traffic licensing affairs department that will introduce licensing procedures, Metrash 2 services and theoretic and practical tests of driving. All services of the traffic can be learned through the pavilions lined up in the exhibition such as Talaa camera for traffic violations, Fahes services, driving training by driving schools and services of insurance companies.

Education Festival

The Education Festival is to highlight and celebrate innovation and creativity in education, featuring a unique and hands-on Innovation Expo, inviting local businesses and enterprises to interact with our community and offer interactive and engaging activities. This is a wider reference to providing Life Skills and innovative 21st Century Skills to support students for success in their learning, future careers and in their personal lives.

Aspire 2nd Lake Festival

Aspire Zone Foundation brings you a poetic and dazzling show that takes you on a magical journey, to follow a young Arab man, searching the world for a rear pearl that gives him peace and happiness.

The show will premiere on Aspire Lake with fireworks, and is orchestrated by a team of 40 talented artists Directed by Christophe Berthonneau.

Esrar Race

This year, the individual race will be 5 kilometers long and will consist of 20 unique obstacles. The race is designed to challenge, motivate, and to push participants to their limits. With the addition of the second day team relay, we aim to showcase the joy of partaking in competitive sports to the whole community in Qatar. Each teams will consist of 3 members, and teams will compete in a head-to-head knock out format. This year, the Race will be held over the weekend in the beautiful Aspire Park, and will have an amazing spectator section as well as a vendor village, offering fun and entertainment for the whole family. Our VIP ambassadors include Mutaz Barshim and Emad Al Hosni - both will be present on the day of the race and will be mingling with participants! Check out our Instagram page for updates!
