The Meteorology department has forecast more rains today with the country passing through unstable weather conditions.. The sudden change in weather has been described as a continuation of the Serryat period, which marks the transition from winter to summer. This transitional period is characterised by sudden variations in temperature, strong winds and high seas and possibility of thunderstorms in several parts of the country. “Unstable weather is expected to affect the country from Tuesday night and it might continue for the next few days, leading to an increase in cloud formation and subsequent rains, becoming thundery at times especially in the northern part of Qatar,” said a statement issued by the Meteorology Department yesterday. The strong dust winds could cause a significant fall in visibility during these days, it added. Temperature would remain at the current averages during this period, that is 37 to 32 degrees Celsius during the day and 25 to 23 degrees Celsius by night. The department has called on people going to the sea to take caution and continuously follow the weather forecasts and warnings. The Peninsula
