On its Twitter page, Qatar Weather (Qatar Meteorology Department) has tweeted that partly cloudy weather with a chance of scattered rain that may becomes thundery at times and strong easterly winds are expected today which may cause a sandstorm especially in open areas in Doha and around Qatar. There may even be hail in some areas.

As a result of these weather conditions that may last until Sunday morning (3 May 2020), marine warnings are still in effect, and the Qatar Meteorology Department urges everyone to avoid all marine activities, till the weather becomes better.
