Qatar is expected to be lashed by strong winds today but rains are unlikely, according to the Met Office. There are chances of rain in the country’s offshore areas, especially in the morning, though. A forecaster said there would be strong winds which could increase to 20-25 knots both in onshore and offshore areas. Fishermen have been cautioned not to venture out in the next 24 hours starting from midnight. Qatar received moderate rains yesterday morning.
