Barwa Real Estate has announced its pearl sponsorship for second Qatar Career Fair (QCF 2009), beginning at the Doha Exhibition Center today. The career fair is expected to attract 20,000 to 30,000 visitors this year and around 115 exhibitors from both public and private sectors such as energy, communications, tourism, insurance, education, media and sports. Barwa’s sponsorship also aims to support youth, especially the Qatari youth, and to develop their skills to address the challenges resulting from Qatar new development plan as well as to meet the needs of the country’s labour market. In addition, the real estate firm also aims at offering students an access to adequate and appropriate jobs as well as sponsoring scholarships of Qatari students. “QCF 2009 is a great opportunity for Barwa to promote its initiatives and training programmes and to directly interact with future generation of Qatari students. No doubt the career fair will grant us an opportunity to meet well-educated, highly qualified students and Barwa would be delighted to receive applications for its training and development programmes from Qatar students,” said Ghanim Jaber Alkubaisi, Barwa’s training and development manager. Al Kubaisi said Barwa was adopting a new approach in designing the company’s stand at the fair. The new approach (triple six) aims at extending and reinforcing a bridge of communication and interaction with the visiting students. The visitors will attend a daily raffle that will be conducted at the Barwa stand. This step comes in line with Barwa’s strong belief in motivating students and encouraging them to participate in events held on the sidelines of the fair. http://gulf-times.com/site/topics/article.asp?cu_no=2&item_no=284122&version=1&template_id=36&parent_id=16
