Pal Sarkozy (pictured), father of French President Nicolas Sarkozy, is one of the artists to feature in an exhibition of international ArtWansonGallery which will open tomorrow at the Grand Hyatt Doha. Titled “Art Meets Matter”, the collective retrospective will once again bring the best of contemporary art to the Middle East, following the success of the gallery’s previous cultural project, “Passion for Art,” held last December. Pal Sarkozy along with the German artist Werner Hornung, who, thanks to the collaboration of Matthieu Arranz, will exclusively exhibit for the first time in the Gulf, some of their best works alongside other interesting artists from the gallery, including David&David, Amador Braojos, Gari, Remy J Lَpez, and the Lebanese artists Gina Nahlé and Wajih Nahlé. Simultaneously, ArtWansonGallery is hosting the exclusive world premiere of the posthumous works of the great Galician sculptor, Juan Oliveira. With this new project, ArtWansonGallery aims to strengthen cultural links with the Middle East by promoting western contemporary art in the region. The art exhibition is open to public from October 22 to November 4.
