The Ritz-Carlton Doha and Qatar Red Crescent announced their partnership to increase community awareness of local humanitarian initiatives. The Ritz-Carlton Doha will gratuitously host part of Qatar Red Crescent’s annual events and activities. They include workshops and awareness sessions on international humanitarian law, basic and advanced first aid accredited training; and opportunities for involvement in various community-centred activities. The events are open to the Ritz-Carlton staff as well as targeted community groups. “As part of Qatar Red Crescent’s mission to empower communities in the face of humanitarian crisis and disasters, we organise annual activities and events that include professional development programmes and training to educate and empower the public,” said Saleh Al Mahanadi, the Secretary- General of Qatar Red Crescent.
