As a move to help environment protection activities, Qatar Petroleum Development Co. (Japan) (QPD) has provided financial assistance to Friends of Environment Center (FEC). FEC will use the fund to fund its wide range of activities.
In the commemorative meeting at FEC, Satoru Nakanishi, General Manager of QPD, said: “QPD is a leader in environment friendly oil operation. QPD intends to support Qatar’s environment protection activities as a responsible corporate citizen. Therefore, we are proud to collaborate with FEC, Qatar’s premier environmental organisation.” Dr Saif Ali Al Hajari, Founder and Chairman, appreciated the contribution from QPD and congratulated the establishment of mutual and beneficial relationship.
In the meeting, Nakanishi also stressed the importance of contribution toward Qatar in a more professional manner, namely, employee development, with the support of FEC and Dr Al Hajari. QPD is a Japanese Joint Venture Company, operating offshore Qatar with the commencement of its commercial production in 2006.
