Qatar Foundation (QF) recently hosted HOPE Qatar Centre for Special Needs’ annual sports day.
The event, which was opened by Mrs. Machaille Al-Naimi, President of Community, Qatar Foundation, brought together more than 25 students, families, visitors, and volunteers, and was held at Awsaj Academy’s Recreation Center in Education City. Children with a range of special needs competed across a variety of games and competitions.
HOPE Qatar has been providing educational and therapeutic services since 2005. The center offers sports activities alongside its academic program, and activities such as football, karate, and yoga are integrated into its curriculum to provide varied experiences to its students.
By supporting HOPE Qatar’s event, QF showcased its dedication to promoting inclusivity in sport. Other initiatives include providing access to world-class facilities and training opportunities for people with autism through football and swimming classes.
