Al Raya newspaper, one of the arabic newspapers in Qatar, had an article mentioning paintings that have been created by local artists that seem to be simply laid aside on the floor in one of the parking lots.
Translation from article,
"Thrown aside in a parking lot at the Cultural Village, Katara, are paintings by Qatari artists. Many people on social media networks complained about how the paintings were handled and taken care of as well as how insitutions and organizations would support Qatari talent.
Katara's management commented on the photo shared (above) with an apology over what had happened; also pointing out that Katara was not responsible for what had happened and that the paintings were the responsibility of one of the organizations within Katara."
At the moment, users on twitter are still requesting a formal apology as well as an investigation into the matter.
