Qatar Red Crescent and The Ritz-Carlton, Doha will organize a day to celebrate the International Day of Charity this Thursday, 5th of September, 4:30 PM at The Ritz-Carlton, Tent. This day will be dedicated to Syrian children under the slogan "Bringing Back Their Joy" where the day will include recreational activities, competitions and gifts for children as well as distributing school bags with the approach of the new academic year. Mr. Saleh Al Muhanadi - Secretary-General of the Red Crescent clarified that the goal of this celebration is to encourage charitable work through restoring smiles to faces of Syrian children and highlight the suffering of children from the horror of war and the mobilization of support and sympathy for those who are still suffering inside Syria and in neighboring countries. He expressed appreciation to the efforts of QRC Official Hospitality Partner, The Ritz-Carlton, Doha and this fruitful partnership. He added "With the escalation of the Syrian crisis that cast a shadow of grief on the Syrian children, we aim at drawing the attention to the growing humanitarian needs and rally the community to support the children hoping to bring back their joy. We are hoping that this event would be a catalyst for companies, state institutions and community members to donate to QRC's project that are implemented inside and outside Syria to provide Syrians with all what they need in terms of equipping hospitals, treating the wounded and provide shelter, food and basic necessities of life." Mr. Hoss Vetry, Cluster General Manager of The Ritz -Carlton, Doha enhanced the responsibility of all organizations and communities by reaching out to its official charity partner Qatar Red Crescent and proactively offering to organize a special event in the light of children suffering from tragic environments such as the current context of Syria.
