This year Qatar Museums and IDAM celebrate and encourage the spirit of giving in the Holy month of Ramadan by donating 5% of IDAM’s Suhoor menu price to the Doha-based Sheikh Eid Charitable Association.

Located in the Museum of Islamic Art (MIA), with spectacular views of the Doha skyline, IDAM offers a memorable Ramadan experience with a specially designed Suhoor menu and a tribute to the tradition of hospitality and generosity in support of those directly affected by poverty or crisis in the Gulf and Middle East region.

An organisation close to Qatar Museums, the Sheikh Eid Charitable Association dedicates its efforts to bringing aid to the needy, and to promoting voluntary pursuits in the community. Working effortlessly to improve the quality of people’s lives, the charity has a truly global reach spanning from Qatar to several areas of the world. It has played a fundamental role in international relief efforts; most recently providing aid for the Nepal earthquake victims in April 2015.

In line with the National Vision 2030, Qatar Museums continue working towards supporting human development through a broad spectrum of initiatives including arts, education and philanthropy. Commenting on the importance of the initiative, Mansoor bin Ebrahim Al-Mahmoud, Acting Chief Executive Officer at Qatar Museums, said: “We are pleased to be partaking in a truly worthy cause in the spirit of the Holy month of Ramadan, supporting the Sheikh Eid Charitable Association in its commendable efforts to help those who are less fortunate. At Qatar Museums, it is our aim to help enriching the quality of people’s lives, and supporting philanthropic causes across the region, in order to achieve a better future for generations to come.”
