Qatar, Germany in talks to boost aviation ties

A round of official talks started yesterday between the civil aviation authorities of Qatar and Germany, aimed at enhancing co-operation. The German side is led by Hartmut Spickemann, the Deputy Director General of the German Civil Aviation Authority (Luftfahrt-Bundesamt) at the Federal Ministry of Transport. ‘’This meeting comes as part of the previously signed MoU between the two countries to enlarge and to be in harmony with the future of the brilliant relationship among the two countries,’’ said the Chairman of Qatar Civil Aviation Authority, Abdul Aziz Mohamed al-Noaimi. “The co-operation between the State of Qatar and the Federal Republic of Germany is based on the basics of growing and the permanent development in all fields, as the two countries are looking to continually strengthen the relationships, especially in the field of aviation,’’ al-Noaimi added, praising in this regard the economic relations between Qatar and Germany. Al-Noaimi described the Qatari-German relationship as going through an excellent period, which represents one of the forms of co-operation in aviation, which contributes to the achievement of the Qatar National Vision 2030 in the context of the country’s continued approach to strengthen its bilateral relations with the countries of the world.
