Qatar Customs announced in a tweet on 14 August 2023 that a smuggling attempt of smoke and tobacco products had been thwarted by the Air Cargo Customs Administration and Private Airports.
أحبطت إدارة جمارك الشحن الجوي والمطارات الخاصة تهريب مادتي السباري والتبغ ، وذلك إثر اشتباه المفتش الجمركي بشحنة دهانات ، وبعد التفتيش تبين وجود عدد 712 كیلوجرام من مادة السباري الممنوعة ، بالإضافة الى عدد 17500 علبة سجائر مخفية بطريقة سرية بداخل الشحنة pic.twitter.com/SAXnga7WpH

A suspicious shipment of paint was inspected, within which a total quantity of 712 kg of banned tobacco & 17,500 packs of cigarettes were found discretely packed within the shipment.
