Q-Post to extend postal services to The Pearl-Qatar Doha, Qatar – July 06, 2013: United Development Company (UDC), a leading Qatari public shareholding company and the master developer of The Pearl-Qatar, signed an agreement today with Q-Post, who will become the official supplier of mail services for a number of UDC-owned residential towers at The Pearl-Qatar. The next phase of the project will extend the service to the remaining parts of the Island. The five-year renewable agreement was signed by Ebrahim Al-Mubarak Al-Sulaiti, Chief Executive Officer of United Development Company, and Abdul Rahman Bin Ali Al-Aqaily, Acting Chairman of Q-Post. As per the agreement, Q-Post will install individual post office boxes in properties at The Pearl-Qatar including towers, townhouses and all villas, thus enabling residents to send and receive local mail and parcels within the Island and all around Qatar. This would mark the first time such a service is made available to a private residential development in the State of Qatar. Under the terms of the agreement, Q-Post will handle all incoming and outgoing mail traffic to and from residential and commercial units at The Pearl-Qatar on a daily basis, ensuring a speedy and secure delivery to the recipients’ stated PO Box numbers. A special mail distribution vehicle will be used to pick-up and deliver mailing material on a daily basis including letters, invoices, postcards, prints, small packages and bank statements. "This agreement highlights United Development Company’s efforts to upgrade the level of exclusive services at the Pearl-Qatar, enabling The Island’s residents and retailers to access postal services easily and conveniently, Al-Sulaiti said. The UDC CEO further pointed out that the signing of this agreement materializes the Company’s commitment to introduce quality services on the Island, which in turn promotes The Pearl-Qatar’s five-star branded lifestyle. For his part, Abdul Rahman Bin Ali Al-Aqaily speaking on behalf of Q-Post said: "Our partnership with a high-caliber establishment such as UDC and a community of the magnitude of The Pearl-Qatar considered to be at present the largest urban development project in Qatar, will indeed bring many benefits to all parties. But most importantly, it will add value to the Island’s residents and visitors. To this end, Q-Post is keen on providing the finest and most elaborate mix of services at The Pearl-Qatar."
