The Public Guards Department under the Ministry of Interior has been monitoring the activities of private security companies to prevent any violation of regulations and to ensure the implementation of security procedures at work sites. The department recently carried out an inspection campaign targeting the offices of such firms. The campaign covered hotels and party halls. "There are rules and regulations for organizing private security providing companies. These rules aim at executing the duty according to the requirements and the legal procedures prescribed for them. The inspection campaign will help to learn about the standard of security services rendered by the private security companies and also to assess the standard of their staff and their ability to perform the duties entrusted to them," Colonel Ahmed Jassim Al Jufairi, Director of Public Guards Department, said.
