The Philippine Embassy in Qatar posted a public advisory on its official Facebook page warning the public of a fake Facebook account impersonating the embassy.
The fake account has been witnessed responding to netizens on the Philippine Embassy in Qatar's official page, posing as the official account.
The embassy reminds the public to be vigilant and that its authentic Facebook page has the blue verified badge.
They also pointed out that the fake account uses a misspelled version of their name, "Philipphine Embasyqatar."
The embassy has confirmed that they have reported the matter to relevant authorities and urgest the public to be careful when using social media.
