The weather is likely to be partly cloudy and slightly dusty today with chances of scattered rains in the north of the country.
“The rains could extend to the central parts as well,” a weather forecaster told this newspaper yesterday.
In its forecast faxed to this newspaper earlier, the weather bureau said inshore, strong winds could blow at times, and occasionally there could be thunder. Offshore, the wind could be stronger, with its speed increasing to 25 knots. The wind direction would be northeasterly to northwesterly inland and northwesterly offshore, according to the forecast. The day would be hot, with the maximum temperature forecast being 39 degrees Celsius. The mercury could dip to between 27 and 30 degrees C at night, said the forecast.
