The Public Works Authority (Ashghal), has announced that a section of the Wholesale Market Street heading south and leading to Haloul Street will be closed from Thursday till the end of Friday. Salwa Road users traveling from the Industrial Area towards Haloul Street can use the alternate roads during the temporary diversion (as shown in the attached map). Ashghal said the closure is part of the development project that covers all Salwa Road intersections. Diverting traffic away from the main construction works on the Wholesale Street will ensure road users’ safety, and facilitate a smooth traffic flow to Alwaab area, the Authority added. Upon completion, Salwa Expressway will ensure smooth traffic thanks to its four lanes (in each direction), and four underpasses, in addition to the upgrade of its four interchanges.
