LULU Hypermarket’s cookery contest was jointly opened by Mona Sulaiti and Mohamed Althaf, regional director of LuLu Group yesterday. This is the fourth successive year LuLu Hypermarket is organising the contest. It is being held as part of the ongoing food festival at the hypermarket. The store said the response to this year’s contest was “good” with some 4,039 entries being received. The elimination process was tough, it said. The judges were Mona Sulaiti, Usha Ravisankar, Veny Maroly, Naga Chtioui, Muneer O Tabbah, David Koenig and Keith Smith. The festival will conclude with the cookery contest and the award distribution ceremony on May 15.
