Aspire Zone Foundation has expanded its range of sports facilities available to the public with the opening of new football fields, basketball and volleyball courts. The facilities are free for the community to use and include 12 mini football fields, six basketball courts and one volleyball court that have been installed in different parts of Aspire Zone by Aspire Logistics, a member organization of Aspire Zone Foundation. Mr. Abdulaziz Al-Mahmoud, Aspire Logistics Director General, said the new facilities would provide the community with a great opportunity to enjoy a healthy lifestyle while playing sport with their friends and families. He said, “Aspire Zone recognizes that many people in the community want to be active and play sports. These new fields are another step toward providing even more facilities for the community. During Eid we saw many visitors coming to the park to enjoy the activities we offered and we are sure the new facilities we are providing will be very popular.” Currently Aspire Logistics is building a BMX track and Skate Park to provide further sporting facilities that the community can enjoy. The new mini football fields at Aspire Park are for families only while the mini football fields, basketball and volleyball courts at the Khalifa Stadium Car Park are open for the community. Those wishing to use the new facilities can access them between 4pm-8pm Sunday to Thursday and 8am – 11pm on Friday and Saturday. Aspire Zone Foundation is committed to promoting healthy and active lifestyles for everyone in Qatar and believes the new facilities make a positive contribution to that mission. - ILQ News -
