Mannai Automotive, the exclusive distributor of GMC, Cadillac and Subaru in Qatar, has announced the arrival of the 2012 GMC Terrain. The car, which was launched for the first time in 2011, has been very successful in Qatar and is expected to continue to raise the benchmark for automobile offerings in the country.
With a fuel economy of 11km per litre, all GMC Terrain models provide enough seating for five people, along with an available rear-seat entertainment system.
Commenting on the new offering, Ziad Shuaib, general manager (sales), Mannai Automotive, said: “We’re very excited by the 2012 GMC Terrain. Between the size, the smaller engine and all the available comfort features, the 2012 GMC Terrain offers drivers the performance, fuel economy and elegance they want at a price they need. We’re confident that our customers will be very much attracted to this new model and we will support them fully with our first class expert service and customer care.”
The 2012 GMC Terrain offers a range of features designed to improve the strength and reliability of the vehicle, including an oil life monitor which calculates how much life your oil has left based on when and how you drive. Then it updates you with a telltale on your driver information centre. The model also features a six-speed, automatic grade braking, which prevents unwanted acceleration and reduces the need for the driver to brake during a hill descent. This “smart” feature monitors braking, acceleration, throttle position and even whether a trailer is connected to the vehicle. Then it commands the transmission to remain in a lower gear if the vehicle is decelerating or coasting on a downgrade to help you hold your desired speed and minimise the need for additional braking.”
According to the official, the styling, price, value and especially the performance of this vehicle, be it the four or six cylinder models, is outstanding. “It has a smooth, quiet ride, good acceleration on hills, and overall a great looking SUV,” he added.
