It was a double treat for Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassem bin Mohamed bin Jassem Al Thani last Thursday: Qatar celebrated its National Day in a grand way, and he became a father of a baby girl.
For him and his newborn daughter, named Aisha, December 18, 2008 will remain an unforgettable date for the rest of their lives.
The father was extremely glad over the two special occasions. He said Aisha’s birth that day was a source of joy and pride, adding that the happy coincidence will always be a part of the girl’s memory when she grows up.
Meanwhile, students from a private school, Al Markhia Elementary School for Girls, paid a surprise visit to the Women’s Hospital and presented a gift to the newborn.
Mona Al Harbi, computer teacher in the school, said the visit was part of the school’s National Day celebrations. She said the students had participated actively in the National Day parade and a letter was sent on the occasion to the Emir H H Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani on behalf of the school’s students and the administrative and teaching staff.
