More than 100,000 people used public buses of Karwa on the eve of Eid Al Fitr. A number of people also used public buses to reach the early morning prayers on the first day of Eid. The buses stopped at all the places where prayers were held. The main bus terminal at Al Ghanim has been witnessing a huge rush since the beginning of Eid with hundreds of single workers going out to celebrate the festival, for which most private companies have declared up to three days of holidays. Mowasalat has deployed additional buses and taxis to meet the Eid rush. http://thepeninsulaqatar.com/Display_news.asp?section=Local_News&subsection=Qatar+News&month=September2009&file=Local_News2009092215637.xml
