Ministry holds exhibition on anti-drug drives

THE Ministry of Interior (MoI) hosted an exhibition of its anti-drug campaigns. Held in association with Abdul Rahman bin Jassim Preparatory Independent School, Wakrah, the event was inaugurated by director of public security, and head of permanent committee for drugs and alcohol affairs (PCDAA) Staff Major General Saad Bin Jassim al-Khulaifi Besides the Jassim Preparatory School, stimulants prevention committee of the Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC), Saud Bin Abdul Rahman Independent Model School for boys, Al Salam Independent School and Al Wakrah Independent Preparatory School for girls also supported the event. After visiting the pavilions of the participating institutions, Major General al-Khulaifi expressed satisfaction at the exhibits. “The schoolchildren have not spared any efforts to make the campaign a big success,” he said. The operator of Abdul Azeez bin Jassim Preparatory School Abdul Azeez al Sayed said the school management always supported the participation of its children at various campaigns launched by the MoI. PCDAA secretary Ibrahim al-Sumaih highlighted the importance of anti-drugs campaign. He announced that awareness campaigns would be spread out throughout the week at schools in Wakrah and nearby areas.
