McDonald’s Qatar, in collaboration with the Ministry of Interior (MOI), celebrated Eid al-Adha with events that took place on September 12 and 13.
The Eid activities were aimed at recognizing and giving back to the country’s foreign laborers through a series of fun-filled programs and entertainment held at the Wakra Sports Club and also Asian Town in Industrial Area Doha.
The two days of celebrations brought together thousands of expatriate workers encompassing a diverse array of nationalities across the two venues. Guests participated in the wealth of engaging attractions, and many took the opportunity to meet and interact with the staff of McDonald’s and to thank them for their generous support of Asian workers.
One of the many highlights of the festivities were the raffle draws, where visitors had a chance to win a selection of special prizes. The raffles were received with resounding enthusiasm as many of the participants accepted their prizes with excitement.
This latest community outreach initiative underscored McDonald’s Qatar’s enduring commitment to corporate social responsibility by giving back to the community through the kind patronage of the Ministry of Interior.
“At McDonald’s Qatar we are more than just a store. We are pioneers in charitable endeavors and we remain dedicated to partnering with the Qatari government to reach out to provide leadership, guidance and support in all matters of philanthropy," said Mr. Kamal Saleh AlMana, Managing Director of AlMana Restaurants & Food Co. the owner and operator of McDonald’s restaurants in Qatar. "We also remain committed to fostering a corporate culture that inspires our own employees to volunteer and participate in community service programs. We believe wholeheartedly that it’s important to empower our staff to bring positive changes in the lives of people every day.”
