Commemorating the World Children's Day (WCD) in Qatar for the seventh year in a row, McDonald's Qatar held a special children's day party at the Al Shafallah Center. The event is part of McDonald's annual humanitarian campaign tagged "Think about them every time you read". The campaign that will run for around two months aims at generating funds from the sales of the special WCD bookmark for only QR2 at all McDonald's restaurants. Kamal Saleh AlMana, Managing Director, McDonald's Qatar said: "We are very glad to launch our annual World Children's Day campaign for the 7th year in a row. Setting objectives beyond financial benefits to the children, the campaign also aims at encouraging the public to read more and to think about needy children who are either unable to read or do not have the resources to do so.” Realising the importance of reading as a hobby, this year's World Children's Day campaign also aims at encouraging people in Qatar to read more through the WCD bookmark that will add value to their reading experience and create humanitarian bonds between us and our brothers and sisters with special needs," AlMana added.
