The Visa Support Services Department of the Ministry of Interior (MOI) in cooperation with the Ministry of Administrative Development, Labour and Social Affairs (MADLSA) organised a seminar earlier today on the authorisation of manpower agencies to bring in domestic workers through Qatar Visa Centres (QVCs) abroad.
Major Abdullah Al-Muhannadi, Director of Visa Support Services Department at the General Directorate of Passports, and Mohammed Ali Al Meer, Labour Expert at MADLSA spoke at the seminar in the presence of representatives of manpower companies and agencies.
According to Major Al Mohannadi, the service allows Qatari citizens and residents to authorise manpower agencies to complete the recruitment procedures for domestic workers through Qatar Visa Centres abroad.
The service will be launched by mid of August, after Eid holidays
Authorisation can be done through Metrash2 and MOI website electronically or at MOI Services Centres manually by selecting one of the listed recruitment offices or agencies in some simple and quick steps
After the authorisation, the recruitment agencies can complete the recruitment process and the various steps through the QVCs abroad including enrollment of biometric data, contract singing and medical examination.
Ali Al Meer said that MADLSA is working on the classification of recruitment agencies operating in the country and evaluating them according to specific professional standards to ensure the best recruitment mechanism.
