Logic Hypermarket is opening at Shamal on June 1 at 5pm, offering “quality products at the lowest prices,” group chairman and managing director T V H Yousaf told a press conference yesterday. The inauguration will be conducted by Indian Union Muslim League’s Kerala state president Syed Hyder Ali Shihab Thangal. Spread over an area of more than 30,000sq ft, the outlet provides a wide range of products from Arab and Asian countries and from the US and Europe. On the ground floor is a supermarket having a fish and fresh meat mart, delicatessen, fast food counter, fresh fruits and vegetables, bakery, roastery, cheese and pickle section, fresh dairy and juice, and frozen meat and vegetable section. The first floor has been designed as a department store with the best products from across the world. Electronics and household items, health and beauty products, footwear, luggage, linen, optical items, electrical items, perfumes, watches and mobiles are among the products. The second floor is for readymade garments and a furniture show room with wide range of collections. “We will offer products at Shamal at Doha prices,” Logic Group general manager Antony Scaria said. The opening will coincide with the launch of a promotion featuring a Toyota Land Cruiser as first prize, along with 90 other prizes. “By opening Logic Hypermarket at Shamal, the Logic Group is realising a dream expressed by our executive director Mustafa Nandi in 2008,” Yousaf recalled. He also expressed gratitude to the building owner Rashid al-Kubaisee and Logic Group’s sponsors Jumua Khamees al-Muraikhee and Ali Mohamed al-Athba for their support and patronage. Nandi, chief executive director Mohamed Zubair K V Bava and directors Mohamed Kutty Ali and Abbas Haji were also present. Logic Group, established in 1999, has 14 other retail outlets across Qatar.
