Have you checked out the WISE Learning Festival yet?
We have - and it's awesome!
Thousands of families from across Qatar have already come down to check out the festival at Katara - which runs from 5pm to 10pm every night until the 8th November. There's loads of fun activities for children that explore the more creative side of learning.
Today, we wanted to showcase an art exhibition that is part of the Festival.
Learning Festival 2014: Photo Exhibition by Newsha Tavakolian
The photography of Newsha Tavakolian illustrates this year´s WISE publication Learning (RE) Imagined, which focuses on the link between technology and education and investigates how the connected society is transforming learning.
Last year, Newsha has traveled the world from Silicon Valley to Qatar, Ghana, Lebanon, China, Singapore, Brazil, Jordan, UAE, UK, India, and beyond, to document initiatives using digital technologies to improve learning. This important work comes to life at the Learning festival 2014.
The photo exhibition is composed by hundreds of unpublished photos and is enriched by Newsha´s exclusive personal insights from her travels, becoming a genuine travel diary of the photographer. The visitors will be taken on an immersive experience throughout her journey.
For more information head down to Katara from 5pm to 10pm until the 8th, or go to the WISE website http://www.wise-qatar.org/
