The Human Rights Department at the Ministry of Interior organised last week a lecture on women’s rights in Islam in the context of the UN International Peace and Arab Day for Human Rights. Sheikha bint Hamed Abdullah Al Attiyah of the University of Qatar talked about the role of the ministry’s human rights department in raising awareness and spreading the culture of human rights among different communities in Qatar. She reviewed the scientific research and studies on women’s rights published by the university. QNA
