Just recently, renowned Hollywood actor, producer and entrepreneur, Bradley Bowen visit Doha through Verve Management as the Aficionado’s Community Endorser for the soft launch of Aficionado Qatar’s newest fragrances from its Premier Collection. The event was a simple and elegant gathering and one of the main attractions of the show was a meet and greet with Bradley followed by a dinner with the Hollywood star himself.
During his visit to Qatar, ILQ had the chance to meet up with the actor, producer and entrepreneur and get to know more about him. We talked to him about his interesting career timeline that started from surfing, led to construction and eventually landed him in Hollywood where he has featured in ads, TV shows and movies like the Hunger Games, Ant-Man, Tomorrowland, Divergent, Furious 7 and Allegiant.
Bradley Bowen: I left high school behind at the age of 15 for surfing; I quickly established myself as a competitive surfer. I, then, began working in construction as a laborer and went on to open my own construction company at the age of 22. I ran my company until 2016 when I made a career change into Film/TV.
Bradley Bowen: I was overwhelmed with stresses of the construction industry and needed a new way to express myself. I was introduced to acting when the film “Tomorrow Land” starring George Clooney was filming in my hometown. I was invited on set as a background actor. I enjoyed the experience and immediately began pursuing more roles. I received my lucky break when I was upgraded from background actor to principal role receiving eligibility to join the SAG - AFTRA (Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists). It was then that I decided to change careers. I began to realize some parallels between construction and production, and opened Flight Productions. No, it isn't easy switching careers.
Bradley Bowen: My family has always been supportive of me and my endeavors. It would not have been possible without their support.
Bradley Bowen: My fingernails aren't dirty. I’m not as stressed physically and emotionally, and I am able to explore my creativity.
Bradley Bowen: My favorite role was US Customs Officer Cunningham in the film “American Made” starring Tom Cruise because I was able to work with many top actors and crew members on a large-scale production; I learned valuable lessons in the process.

Bradley Bowen: I enjoy nature, outdoor activities such as hiking, biking and rock climbing. I train Brazilian Ju-Jitsu and enjoy staying healthy through fitness and nutrition.
Bradley Bowen: It’s better to give than to receive, A quick nickel is better than a slow dime, earn enough money to enjoy your time and have enough time to enjoy your money.
Bradley Bowen: Although, I’ve learned many lessons the hard way, I have no regrets.
Bradley Bowen: Yes, I’m very excited to be able to visit Qatar and have the opportunity through Verve Management to attend the launch of Aficionado in the Middle East. Aficionado has an amazing product line of perfume/cologne inspired scents from luxury brands. I have the privilege as a brand ambassador to represent this Philippines based company and look forward to introducing Aficionado around the World.
Bradley Bowen: Yes
Bradley Bowen: I feel fortunate to visit Qatar and see many beautiful places surrounded with history, culture and beauty. The people I’ve had the opportunity to meet were polite, humble and genuine. I love Qatar!
Bradley Bowen: If they are not happy with their current career, STOP! Do what you love and love what you do. It will not be easy, but worth your happiness and efforts.
Bradley Bowen: I would like to say, work hard to achieve your goals and dreams and to do what you enjoy. Thank you for being you and thank you so much for your hospitality.
