IBQ has increased its commitment to support the “Schools without Accidents” campaign in its third edition. The “Schools without Accidents” campaign is part of a nationwide awareness drive to prevent road accidents organised by Qatar’s Traffic Department. In a press conference held yesterday at IBQ’s headquarters, the bank announced it was allocating QR600,000 for the campaign. This year, the campaign focuses on promoting road manners and appropriate road behaviour among school students and will roll out into three phases starting with live demonstrations and seminars, moving to workshops for school advisors and practical sessions for students and ending with a competition and award nominations in March 2011 during the GCC Traffic Week. Brigadier Mohammed Saad Al Kharji, Director of Traffic Department, said: “We thank IBQ for their great commitment to support these educational endeavors which aim at raising road awareness amongst youth in our society. http://thepeninsulaqatar.com/qatar/132091-ibq-to-give-qr600000-for-traffic-campaign.html
