United Development Company (UDC), master developer of The Pearl-Qatar, welcomed hundreds of participants to its annual Garangao festivities, which took place Friday in an indoor arena in 29 La Croisette, Porto Arabia.
Featuring an array of traditional activities such as henna drawing, coloring and face painting stations, balloon twisting, folkloric mascot characters and photography booths, the event highlighted UDC’s endeavors to revive Qatar’s traditions through engaging youth and families in interactive heritage-oriented initiatives.
While interacting with the traditional “Musaher” mascot (Ramadan Drummer), participants learned about Qatar’s past by listening to interesting stories conveyed by professional storytellers. Additionally, children, families and members of the wider community got the opportunity to enjoy traditional Qatari cuisine and drinks such as popcorn, cotton candy, Arabic coffee, dates and ice-cream.
The Pearl-Qatar invites members of the community to visit the iconic destination throughout Ramadan to enjoy Iftar and Shuhoor in all its diverse range of restaurants and experience its warm hospitality. Shopping destinations across its retail landscape are open throughout the month and beyond for visitors of all ages.
