Late last month, the Ministry of Administrative, Development Labor and Social Affairs tweeted a reminder about the Qatar Labor Law. The reminder states that every worker is entitled to a weekly rest of at least 24 consecutive hours. The law quoted states that apart from shift workers, no workers are allowed to work on two consecutive Fridays. However, if these workers’ rights are violated, how can they report it?

Workers who have complaints with their employers can submit them to the Work Relations Department at the Ministry of Administrative Development, Labor and Social Affairs.
Furthermore, while it’s not clear what the consequences will be, back in 2014, the Ministry did share details of new kiosks that had been installed for people to file complaints.
According to Doha News, the kiosks are set up across six branches of Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs and complaints can be filed in several languages including English, Hindi, Arabic, Urdu, Nepali, Bengali and Tamil.
